New Fiber Trends FT201E Bev Galeskas Felted Baby Bears Knitting Pattern
An 11 on the Cuteness Richter Scale. We do not see how it would be possible to write a pattern with more authority or detail on felting teddy bears. Galeskas is a mistress of the art: some would say the mistress. Here she gives precise but friendly directions to make the Pajama Bears (the ones looking like they're wearing long johns) and the plain versions; the felt hat (the only thing knit in the round); and to felt either by hand or in a washing machine. Bears are knitted flat in garter stitch. Original yarns unknown; Galeskas recommends Naturally's Naturelle 10 ply, especially if you want a feltable white wool. Gauge given is approximate, over garter.
